I FEEL MYSELF TO BE PART OF SOMETHING

is a new documentary anthology about the impact of the arts in America. The inaugural films in the anthology will follow five distinct American communities and explore the impact of the arts—on their economies, their identities, and their sense of belonging. The films will take viewers on a journey across America, exploring different art forms, communities, and programs to capture a rich and vibrant portrait of the essential role the arts play in our lives.

COMMUNITY FIRST DISTRIBUTION MODEL

Each film will premiere through a groundbreaking Community First Distribution Model—prioritizing screenings in the very communities where the stories were filmed. Following each Community First screening, the collaborative will partner with regional film festivals, where applicable, prior to making the films available at no cost to local arts organizations and community centers throughout the country, accompanied by a screening guide and handbook to help spur local engagement, dialogue, and support.

THE ARTS IMPACT COLLABORATIVE (AIC)

is a group of filmmakers dedicated to demonstrating, through compelling narratives, the value of the arts in communities throughout the United States. Led by producers Mara Isaacs, Sara Terry, Lou Pepe and Dana Goldberg, the collaborative works with a diverse group of filmmakers to document what the arts do. For more information, contact us.
